About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
The Darul-Taqwa Masjid exists as a place of worship in Schenectady, New York. As a community, we are committed to follow the teaching of the Holy Quran and life of our Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم (peace and blessing upon him).
We aim to bring Islam in our daily lives and increase the understanding of Islam through education. We strive every day to build a positive relationship with our local community. Our gates are open to every member of the community Muslim or Non-Muslim.

Alhamdullilah ( All praise due to Allah) we pray the five-time Salaah in a congregation and we have Quran teaching classes for the kids.
Our Story
In 2011, Darul-Taqwa Masjid began as a small place of worship, founded by a few dedicated brothers in Schenectady, New York. Alhamdulillah (All praise is due to Allah), we have grown steadily since then. Today, we offer five daily congregational prayers and hold Quran teaching classes for children.
As our community expanded, so did our mission. We introduced full-time educational programs such as the Alim course, Hifz course, and weekday Maktab to support spiritual and intellectual growth. With the continued blessings of Allah and the dedication of our community members, we are now in the process of expanding our mosque to better serve our growing congregation and provide more space for worship and learning.
